The Township's all-volunteer Fire Company has been serving the residents of Allen Township since 1944. As an integral part of this community, in addition to fire protection, the Fire Company provides the following services:
The Fire Company currently has active fire fighters and fire police. These dedicated volunteers routinely put themselves at risk to protect the lives and property of their neighbors and those traveling through the community. In addition, our volunteer fire fighters spend countless hours each year practicing firefighting techniques and training with sophisticated equipment.
In addition, the Fire Company works cooperatively with the Township Board of Supervisors to recommend health/safety regulations such as the standard building address sign system (for all residential and commercial structures) and the emergency access box (Knox Box) system (for non-residential structures).
The Fire Company is always in need of additional volunteers due to the Township's growing population and increasing demand for services. For more information on becoming a volunteer fire fighter or fire police, please contact the Allen Township Volunteer Fire Company at 610-262-1101 or stop by at the Fire Station located at 3530 Howertown Road, Northampton, PA any Monday evening, which is the department's designated weekly training night.
